Resazart (Theresia Zhang)

Farewell, Oil on canvas panel, 2022

Concept art one, depicting the farewell moment between the protagonist R.C. Hermann and his first wife. He did not enter into marriage with his first partner, Theophile Leveille, due to both being male.

Long Time No See, Pencil on Paper, 2022

In 1929, Leveille and Hermann reunite after a long separation. Despite Berlin being the birthplace of the First Homosexual Movement, the movement gradually declined after 1929 and suffered a catastrophic blow in 1933 when the Nazi Party came to power, leading to the most severe persecution of homosexuality in history. Despite their significant contributions to the history of scientific development, the two couldn't escape the clutches of the impending doom.

Devil in Me - Pg.1, Pencil on Paper, 2023

This drawing is the first page of the five-page short comic 'Devil in Me.' It uses a poetic approach to narrate the curse of the protagonist Otto, who repeatedly kills each of his wives in the prequel. The dialogue is excerpted from Jamie Bower's 2022 single "Devil in Me."

Nice to meet you, Miss Lenore, Digital painting, 2023

In the prequel, Miss Lenore first encountered Mr. Edwin at the Royal Horse Society, a man who would later become her deeply loved husband. Little did she know that behind her husband lay the beginning of a nightmarish and terrifying family history.

Death Becomes Her, Digital painting, 2023

Miss Lenoir, dressed in mourning attire, appears even more beautiful and captivating," people say upon encountering this young widow. From Lenore to Lenoir, little do they know whether she has become the spokesperson for death or the embodiment of death itself.

The Lab of Theophile Leveille and R.C.Hermann, Blender Animation, 2020

This is the laboratory where the protagonists Leveille and Hermann worked around 1930. It is here that, during his night shift, Leveille awoke to discover the anomalous state of the primordial meteorite, later recognized by historians as the first manifestation of the 20th-century Cocoon God. Following this scene, the laboratory exploded, resulting in Leveille's death.

“Cocoonium”

Life, time, death – these are eternal themes in the fantasy world known as "Cocoonium." Characters created by Resazart always seek humanity's timeless pursuit in various ways: immortality. In this virtual world that spans several generations and regions, the inevitable intertwining of death and the human desire for immortality gives birth to more evil, war, and goodness. In a world controlled by the outer god "Cocoon," readers can catch a glimpse of the rise and fall of the protagonist's family over nearly a century.

The exhibited works include original character stories from different chapters of "Cocoonium," featuring original artwork and concept art. Death is presented in various forms in the calm strokes of the author, Theresia Zhang. First encounters, farewells, whether it's a reunion or a final goodbye, each generation of the protagonist's family, spanning a hundred years, makes different choices as they are carried by the times. "Cocoon," embodying immortality, continues to grow day by day, and the research of its first protagonist, Hermann, and Leveille never ceases. Even though their physical bodies have died, their souls will be preserved until the end of time.
