The inspiration for this work comes from the traditional Chinese jade carving theme of "Jade boy" and the story of the Sudhana(善财童子）described in the Buddhāvataṃsaka Sūtra: where the child undergoes gestation for ten months, is then born, and manifests a proper and complete form. All various treasures naturally appear, and all repositories are filled. (The 53 Visits of Sudhana from the Buddhāvataṃsaka Sūtra.)
